NOTE: This blog is in chronological order, so the oldest post is listed first.

The first part of my blog covers the period of June 2008 to November 2011, and is archived at https://sites.google.com/site/terryssailingpage/      as a PDF file (: please repect the copywrite and do not distribute or reproduce without my permission). During that period I bought my first boat, an American Sail 14.6 and though a combination of instruction, study, and self-experimentation learnt the basics of boat handing and navigation.

The Barbara Ann (Summer 2011).

Me with the 16 Foot Larson (: June 2011).

For a short period I had a Nordica 16 (sailboat) as a second boat, but have replaced it with a Larson LX620 bow rider (a powerboat). I do enjoy both boats but mainly  I have the 2nd boat so I can do things together with my family as I seem destined to sail by myself. As you read this, don’t fool yourself, while this will be my fifth summer a float I am still very much the novice and learn mainly by trial and error. Currently both boats and all the related gear have been stored for the winter. I make no claims about being an expert.

This is Smithtown Bay (summer 2011), were I normally sail from. Need I say more?

Winter Blues (Feb. 2012)

Stay Tuned, more to come.
